About The Artist

David Schor possesses multiple talents that are apparent in each of his creative works. Born in New York, raised in Connecticut, and a resident of Florida since 1974, David Schor has succeeded in two careers and engaged himself in multiple areas of life: sailing, karate, reading, writing, and at present, availing himself of remote areas of the world in order to produce some of his most outstanding pieces of artwork.

He studied at Tufts University where he received a Bachelor's degree in biology and then went on to George Washington University to receive a Master's degree in Hospital Administration. One would call this a small detour in a life that was meant to be lived in order to create the wonders that are his painting.

Like Michelangelo, who secretly studied the human body, his first degree, in biology, has served him well in giving him the knowledge that must be present in order to create a truly accurate piece depicting the human body. As one looks at the faces portrayed in David’s paintings, one can truly appreciate his keen ability to penetrate the outer surfaces of the human body and enter the world of the psyche and the delicate interrelationships that abound between members of a family, whether they be lovers, friends, parents and children, or any number of combinations relating to interpersonal relationships.

His ability to work with oils, acrylics and pen and ink only add to the multidimensional experience that is his work. In his career as an artist, he has moved from oils, to pen and ink, to acrylics. Whereas some of his collectors prefer his pen and inks, others are enthralled to experience the beauty that abound in his sunrises and sunsets.

However, the combination of people set against one of the many exotic and awe inspiring backgrounds have made him on of the most collected artist of his time. David Schor is in constant demand from clients as far-flung as Italy, Norway, France, California,  and Maui to live "on location" and create one of his original paintings based on the setting. 

Organizations, regardless of their missions, commission David Schor to capture their spirit and values in a creative painting. The images are then utilized in the organizations to help influence the public, clients and employees.
