"Dear David, When I opened the package containing the commissioned painting of our sailboat my emotions immediately ran thru the alphabet! I was Awed, Blow-away, Captivated, Delirious, Elated - well - you can see where I'm going with that! I just stood there and grinned - and smiled - and cried - and then I called you! You could tell from the sound of my voice how happy I was to have this work of art in my hands.
I had always planned to surprise my husband with a picture of our boat. An aerial shot or surface shot were the two avenues I had explored... UNTIL .... I saw your work. You had to be the one to paint this special present. Little did I know that it would turn out to be one of our most prized possessions.
The presentation to Rod was Fantastic (back to the alphabet!). When he pulled the cover from the easel he just stood there and stared. The he stepped back and leaned in for a closer look. When he realized exactly what it was he was Speechless and Thunderstruck! He stayed there looking and smiling from ear to ear. He is still "thunderstruck", as I am, over our painting. You are truly a gifted and talented person. How fortunate we are to own one of your beautiful paintings that reflects the emotions of a true artist."
